Blunt blades equal poor extraction. We find after 3k cups (a couple of years) Breville grinder blades are often blunt and no longer cutting the coffee nicely, they are rather crushing it. The first thing we notice when replacing blades is the aroma of the coffee returns and the crema. Replacing the blades in your machine is an inexpensive no brainer. And relatively simple procedure.
These blades will NOT fit all Breville Grinders. Please look at the photo carefully as we will charge a restocking fee if you order the incorrect blades. These blades are for older machines pre about 2020 (PDC 1925) and post 2015(approx),you can confirm by counting the 5 points on the inner burr. See the photo. Five points is a ‘Pentagon’. If yours has 6 points ‘Hexagon’ on the inner burr then these blades will not fit in your grinder. You have the new style and we also sell these here.
However, note style A (see pic in gallery) these are found in some Breville machines Pre 2015?. Note the housing is not adjustable. This product will not fit these Pre 2015 style grinders unless you change the outer burr housing. See the photos and choose carefully.
Note the grinder blades ship with the felt disk.
